Faysal Öztürk

President of the Syrian Turkmen Council

Biography: Faysal Öztürk was born on March 5, 1975, in Deve Hüyük village, Cerablus district of Aleppo. He completed his primary education in Deve Hüyük and his secondary education in Münbiç. He graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Moldova University in 2001. Öztürk is proficient in four languages: Turkish, Arabic, Russian, and English.

Roles and Positions:

• 2003-2011: Managed his own pharmacy in Gandura, Aleppo.
• 2011-2012: Opened and managed another pharmacy in the center of Aleppo.
• 2013-2019: Served as a founding member and Discipline Committee member during the 2nd and 3rd terms of the Syrian Turkmen Council (STM). Also served as a member of the Election Committee during the STM 3rd Term elections.
• 2022-2023: Briefly served as the Deputy President of the Syrian Turkmen Council.

Current Roles:

• Since August 26, 2023: Elected as the President of the Syrian Turkmen Council, a position he continues to hold.
• Manages his own pharmacy in Nizip, Gaziantep.
• Serves as the Secretary-General of the Gandura Local Council of Aleppo.
• Member of the Free Aleppo Provincial Council.

Since the beginning of the Syrian Revolution, Öztürk has voluntarily undertaken numerous roles in support of the Syrian Revolution and the Syrian Turkmen cause.
